By creating a Wurld account you agree to these terms. Wurld is a chat app that translates messages between participants' languages in real time, with vocabulary help, a practice mode, and an in-app language tutor, so you can learn a language while you chat.
Wurld is currently operated as an early-access (beta) project from the United Kingdom, available to users worldwide. The operator of Wurld is the party responsible for your data (the "data controller"). You can reach us at jamesarney11@gmail.com.
You sign in with your phone number. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use Wurld. We may ask you to confirm your age; if we learn that someone under 16 is using Wurld, we will remove their account.
Don't use Wurld to harass, abuse, or harm others, to send unlawful content, or to disrupt or attack the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.
You keep ownership of the messages and images you send. You grant Wurld the permissions needed to store, transmit, and process that content to provide the service — including sending message text to our translation provider, and storing your content on our cloud provider's servers. See the Privacy Policy for the detail.
Wurld is not end-to-end encrypted, and this is by design: the translation, vocabulary, and tutor features require access to the content of your messages in order to work. Your messages are protected in transit and at rest, but Wurld and our translation provider can access their content. Please do not send sensitive personal information, financial or health details, passwords, or sensitive media through Wurld.
Translations, vocabulary help, the practice mode, and the in-app tutor are generated by automated systems (and our AI provider) and may be imperfect or wrong. Don't rely on them for anything safety-, legal-, medical-, or finance-critical.
Wurld is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties, during this beta. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
We may update these terms. When we make material changes we'll ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Wurld.
